Pharsyde was founded by Tamryn Dicks in 2007. She thought that being good at accounting would naturally translate into being good at running an accounting business. She was wrong.

Over time, and due to her own learning curves, burnout, failure and successes, Tamryn evolved Pharsyde, taking it from being simply an accounting firm, to being a complete business-development powerhouse for business owners.

We are a group of people who love numbers, love nature, believe in small business and want to do good in the world.

Meet the Management

We are a proudly women-led business! We believe that our femininity means we are able to provide care and support, while still having the resilience and grit required to help you through the tough times.

At the head, you will find Tamryn Dicks and Izelle Badenhorst – two qualified accountants who are passionate about helping small businesses succeed.

Adding to our core team is Ronell Janse van Rensburg and Linda de Paiva, two strong, vibrant and amazing women who are as passionate about making a difference as they are passionate about recording the KPIs for that difference.

We are a small team, but we are supported by a phenomenal team of bookkeepers, accountants, tax consultants, corporate transaction specialists, business developers, and other experts – all intent on ensuring that you get the best service with the best results.

We are also passionate about business being a force for good in the world! As such, we are a B1G1 “Business for Good” (you can read all about it, here) AND we also opened up our own non-profit organisation, Pharsyde Foundations so that we could be directly involved in building a happy South African future. We don’t really do offices. Our entire team may work from home, or anywhere they wish. We have an office in Johannesburg that team members can use if they wish, and we have some really fun functions there, but all our other locations are virtual-only. This makes our team happy and it reduces unnecessary electricity and water usage!

We do virtual meetings. This doesn’t mean you can’t have contact with a human being – we have warm and caring team members who are here because they are passionate about problem-solving and they WANT to help you. But there are fewer carbon emissions involved when we meet online instead of driving to a meeting – plus, you get to save on travel time and use those hours far more efficiently generating income for your business!

We use cloud-based software. This enables our employees to work from anywhere, but it also improves our efficiency and gives you the ability to have instant access to your information.
