Izelle has over two decades of experience in the industry and fifteen of her years were spent working for the Investment Banking world in London. Working for the likes of the Royal Bank of Scotland, Deutsche Bank and UBS London, she gained fantastic experience and enormous insights into both business and finance.
During her time in London, Izelle also became a LEAN specialist and was responsible for implementing the LEAN principles for the Royal Bank of Scotland. She loves helping people to optimise their workflow and their work environment and found this project exceptionally fulfilling!
Izelle loved her time in London, she worked hard, but she had the chance to travel the world and enjoy multiple cultures and perspectives. One of her trips included a trip to Tanzania in which she spent three months teaching Masai children Mathematics and English.
Alongside her dedication to accounting, Izelle is deeply passionate about education and takes any opportunity she can to train children and to help them build a future for themselves. This is one of the reasons that she is on the board of our non-profit, Pharsyde Foundations – aimed at improving access to tertiary education for women in South Africa.
Izelle returned to South Africa in 2015 and after consulting on her own for a while, she joined the Pharsyde Accounting team. She has since become a director and a highly valued team member. She aligns strongly with the company’s values of ethics, freedom and flexibility, lifelong learning and doing good. She is a true “people person” and loves to work with people, helping them in any way that she can.
